Quake rattles Los Angeles off Malibu coast
An offshore quake measured 3.8 on the Richter scale shook the Los Angeles area at 9:55 a.m. Officials from the Caltech Seismological Laboratory said the center was about seven miles south of Malibu and 12 miles off Santa Monica, roughly 25 miles west of downtown Los Angeles.

Coffins host class reunion in Silver Creek
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Buse and family attended a class reunion at the Ron Coffin home on Thursday.
