Frontier pilots warn by new ground proximity system
A new safety system that alerts pilots to dangerous flight paths begins fleet operation at Frontier Airlines. The Ground Proximity Warning System known as PWS is being installed on 17 Boeing 737 jets and 28 Convair rapjets at a cost around 1.1 million dollars. It uses signals from onboard instruments to warn with Pull Up alerts when off course. The move aligns with a federal mandate requiring U.S. airlines to equip the fleet by December 1.

Inflation drives Midwesterners to retain older cars and add upgrades. If wrecked, insurers pay actual cash value or replace with a similar car. Maintain collision coverage, keep improvement receipts, and consider a stated amount policy to reflect increased value. An appraisal may be needed to set fair value. Additional cost may save later.
