National Farmers Organization booster H Kenton Bailey will speak at the Fists Cafes NFO annual banquet held at Western Cafe in Schuyler. Bailey has served on the National board since 1971 and has been state and county president, regional supervisor, and helped develop milk meat potato blueberry broiler grain programs in New England. He is the seventh generation on the family farm in Farmington Maine. Platte County President Melvin Muorisnan notes ticket limits and urges early contact with local officers and members.

Retail prices ease while net farm income climbs in 1976 outlook

FFA to honor Lt Ed senior at state convention pageant
Eight Area Star Farmers will be named at the State FFA convention with Reed among them as a senior in the program. The pageant occurs at 7 p.m. Friday April 2 in the Agricultural Hall on the State Fairgrounds. Reed is treasurer of his local chapter and chairs the Earnings Savings and Investment Committee. The 1976 convention also features a 72 member FFA chorus and a mail order band with dozens of participants from multiple schools and Vocational Agriculture departments.
