A 1977 spring survey of 654 PTCC students shows 74.6 percent employed and 10.7 percent seeking work at registration. Of 930 total students, 392 men and 262 women included 324 full time and 330 part time. Nearly a quarter work 31 to 40 hours weekly while attending classes, and over 22 percent work more than 40 hours. Governor J James Exon said he will request federal disaster assistance to restore public power facilities in western Nebraska damaged by a 36 hour blizzard.
