Severe weather weekend left Minden Iowa devastated with two homes destroyed and extensive damage cited at more than one million dollars. A funnel-cloud report over Chicago suburbs followed, while Des Plaines windy chaos toppled a crowded carnival tent injuring eleven.

Canada settles language dispute with pilots and controllers

Ottawa announced a settlement with Canada's pilots and air traffic controllers over the language dispute that disrupted air travel for nine days. No immediate word on when pilots would return to work. Air Canada spokesman provided the statement.

Ford Narrows Gap Toward GOP Nomination in Delegates

Death verdict for four mercenaries in Angola

Hijackers Free 258 on Air France Jet in Entebbe Hostage Case
