Schuyler youth lives on South Sea island for two years
Schuyler's Richard Qualsett, now 24 and working for Sony in Japan, spent two years teaching English on Truk in Micronesia as part of a Peace Corps program. The piece recounts island life, customs, diet, housing, and the shift toward modernity, noting dives among WWII wrecks and a Japan Life Magazine photo feature.
