Duncan man electrocuted at Lindsay Park site
Duncan resident William Spulak 25 was electrocuted around 1 30 pm Monday when the hydraulic hoist he operated to unload concrete blocks from his truck touched a 12 500 volt power line. The shock caused the truck tire to go flat and the rear tire and rim to be thrown off the axle. Spulak, employed by Gerhard Concrete Products, was at Lindsay City Park construction. No one else was injured.

Trio charged in armed robbery and arson in Butler County
In Butler County court three men face armed robbery and first degree arson charges for a July 9 incident. Scott Svoboda 18 Kurt Workman 21 both of David Guy and Michael Swanson 22 Lincoln were arrested. Swanson in Seward others in David City. The fire at 475th Street apartment garage aimed to distract police after the Southern XV liquor store robbery netting about 116 to 120 dollars. A .22 caliber pistol was recovered and bond hearings pending.
