Denney Favored for Nebraska Judgeship Says Tiemann

Lincoln Nebraska Gov Norbert Tiemann said Rep Robert V Denney has the inside track on a Nebraska judgeship. He declined to name a favorite to replace Denney and praised Bob Barnett without pressuring for the post. Tiemann backs Barney Adams in the Third District Railway Commission race over Duane Gay, Adams having filled the post after Fred Petersons death.

Omaha school superintendent back on job

Gwen A Knutzen returned to his post as Omaha superintendent of schools after vacation and said his decision on a three year contract will come at the Board of Education meeting next Monday night. The proposal would raise salary from 32000 to 97000 over three years and add 3000 annually in a retirement annuity. The board had recently approved the terms 8 to 1.
