District 10 to elect four to school board

Fire kills five in prison blaze at Danbury prison
In a locked cell block at the Federal Correction Institution in Danbury Connecticut a fast spreading fire trapped inmates. Five prisoners died from smoke inhalation and 62 were injured including a guard and a fireman. About 60 prisoners were freed as flames raged in cell block G. Authorities investigated whether the fire was set but the cause remained undetermined.
