In a split decision the Nebraska Supreme Court reversed a lower court ruling forcing the Board of Educational Lands and Funds to lease land to Earl Anderson, the highest bidder at a public sale. The court upheld the board’s right to accept a post sale higher bid and reoffer the land.

Schaufelberger Named to Minnesota U Electrical Panel

Don E. Schaufelberger, Deputy General Manager of the Nebraska Public Power District, was chosen by the University of Minnesota Department of Electrical Engineering to join its new Electric Energy Systems Advisory Committee. Two More Traffic Deaths Reported in Nebraska

Two more people died on Nebraska roads in separate crashes after six holiday fatalities. Domingo Hernandez, 52, of Hershey, died when his car left a county road and fell into an irrigation canal near Sutherland. A Shelton collision killed an Indiana woman and injured two others, including a girl in critical condition. the mother was the fatality. Authorities withheld names pending relatives’ notification.
