Radar unit speeds warning to Columbus motorists

Columbus police added a Model Kop moving radar unit from MPH Industries to clock speeds up to four miles away. Patrolwoman Diane Hartford will operate it with training from Mastin and Kohout. Officials say the device should help reduce speed and accidents, despite moving cars being harder to gauge.

Magistrate Tassels Justice After Price Tag Miracle

Theresa Boone 24 of Cleveland appeared before Municipal Court Judge Joseph Zingales on crutches to plead innocent to petty theft menacing and resisting arrest. Prosecutor said theft arose from a department store price tag switch. The judge convicted Boone and sentenced three concurrent 30 day terms in the workhouse. She left in disbelief saying miracle after the remark.
