Infants Fat in Six Months Link to Obesity in Adulthood
A Rochester study divides infants into heavy, mid, and light weight groups and follows them to ages 2 to 30. It finds 38 percent of heavy infants become overweight adults, with social class and education reducing obesity risk, while factors like sex show no strong link. The study suggests six month weight is a key variable in future obesity.
