In a murder trial a prosecution witness quoted Ruppert as saying he would take care of his money problems the night before the Easter Sunday shootings. The witness described Ruppert saying he would handle it after leaving a bar and returning 20 minutes later. Prosecutors say Ruppert killed relatives to inherit a $300,000 estate. his counsel cites insanity. The case could face the electric chair if convicted.
