Farm export sales seen leveling at 22 billion in 1977

UPI report from Washington says farm export sales will level off near 22 billion dollars in fiscal year 1977 after seven years of gains. The Agriculture Department projects imports rising 16 percent to 11.7 billion, trimming the agricultural trade surplus to about 10 billion and marking the smallest since 1973. Even with lower wheat, soy, and meat export volumes, higher prices will lift oilseed and meat values to about 5.2 billion, and cotton exports are expected to rise in volume and value.
