Second round of airfare increases approved by CAB
Washington UPI reports the Civil Aeronautics Board approved a second round of domestic airfare increases ranging from 0.8 to 1.3 percent, totaling 1.5 to 2 percent above mid July fares. Effective Aug 7 to Aug 22, the CAB rejected a consumer group’s claim that the hikes were unjustified.
