General Edward C. Binder announced that Company C 1st Battalion 134th Infantry will be split between Columbus and Omaha effective May 1. Columbus retains HQ and weapons platoon for 3 officers 55 enlisted. Omaha gains 3 officers 99 enlisted. Detachment 1 will be based in Omaha with 106 personnel remaining to be reassigned. Outdoor training and summer camp will be joint. the action is to address strength problems. A broader relocation study was paused until 1978.
