Nebraska approves grant for anti-drug education program
The Nebraska Drug Commission approved a 15037 grant for a fear ed anti drug education program in 12 public schools. Total project cost 25037 with 10000 matching by the State Education Department. Education officials note use of peer counseling cross age tutoring and classroom guidelines plus seeking 133000 from NIH and already having 42500 in federal funds.

First quarter strike activity shows decrease
The Labor Department data show strike activity in the first quarter of 1976 at the lowest level in at least a decade. About 1,055 work stoppages affected 317,000 workers, who lost 3.2 million days of work, the smallest totals since 1961.

Grand Island Man Named to Patrol's Legal Staff
Col. C. P. Karthauser announced that Don Hyde of Grand Island will fill a vacancy on the patrol's legal staff following a resignation. Randall Rinquest, who led the legal division for three years, leaves for a Lakewood Colorado job. Hyde has served at the Grand Island Law Enforcement Center for two years after work with Hutchinson city and county staffs.
