Gasohol to Hit Market in Holdrege June 1
Holdrege area residents will test Gasohol starting June 1 a blend of 10 percent ethyl alcohol and 90 percent unleaded gasoline. The fuel will sell at about 52.9 cents a gallon and will be tested with 36 vehicles as the state expands trials. Sales run for one year at the Holdrege Co-operative Service Station with no vehicle restrictions for 1975 cars.

Nebraska has saved nearly 1 million dollars in state and federal maintenance after a seven member quality surveillance team reviewed 9,418 case records across 85 counties from May 1973 to December 1974. During the period 471 cases closed, with an estimated state savings of 975 dollars and a state share of 411,168 dollars. Mrs. Wallace said potential annual savings could reach 1,205,000 dollars once remaining cases are closed.
