Two Dead, CHP Officer Hurt in I 80 Accidents
Three separate I 80 crashes in the past week left two people dead and CHP officer Jeff Hebert injured in a westbound construction zone near Alta. A 43,000 pound drywall rig driven by Pablo Jaquez struck a CHP patrol car, a Granite Construction crew, and an attenuator truck, injuring a worker and the driver.
