Colfax plans a 2200 square foot Historic Depot museum and Visitor Center in downtown, with restoration ongoing since 2002. The city council approved 19250 for interior renovation to start phases one and two, largely to be done by volunteers coordinated by the Historical Society and Chamber of Commerce.

Colfax High School student Will Cole drove along Tokagawa Road on a blind curve when a large rock placed in his lane forced him off course.
