Colfax Garden Club Tour Showcases Local Flora and History
The Colfax Garden Club Tour spans seven locations from Colfax to Dutch Flat over two days. Highlights include Myrtle Findley’s Keystone Manor dating to 1977 with cuttings offered, Colfax Elementary’s student garden program, a turtle and frog pond at Woodford place, Karen Woodford’s decade long wisteria, and the Barham Dutch Flat garden with roses despite deer. The event ends with a restored Dutch Flat Hotel and musical backdrop from the Begin Family Fiddlers. The club funds Junior Garden Club efforts and meets monthly September through June.
