Auburn firefighters join 15th annual Bataan Memorial hike
A team from the California Department of Forestry led by Joe Ten Eyck will complete the 26.2 mile White Sands Desert hike to raise funds for Big Brothers and Sisters. The group trains for eight hours, aims for a 20 minute mile, and carries 35 pounds of birdseed in their packs to meet competition rules.
