Explosive Sunday in Gold Country Hardball League action
Two GCHL teams visited Yuba City MSBL foes as expansion squads struggled to draw players. The Sidewinders beat North Valley Heat 13 8 thanks to a Garbet double and Lopez triple, while Staydohar and Hampshire helped secure the win. Sun Devils fell 9 8 to Wheatland after a late rally, and Auburn Wildcats rallied past Rattlers 12 7 at Colfax as Andrade returns to the field. Newcastle Nine defeated Trackside Tavern Miners 12 7 at Colfax High amid tensions and late power from Guerra Zezini.
