Colfax High Class of 2003 Graduation Saturday
Colfax High School will hold its 43rd annual commencement at Robert O. Marson Field on Saturday June 7 at 10 a.m. The Class of 2003 includes 212 seniors with seven valedictorians. Principal Rick Spears will welcome graduates as about 20 percent plan four year college enrollment at schools such as Cornell Puget Sound UC Davis UC Santa Barbara UC Santa Cruz Long Beach State Cal Poly SLO University of Oregon UC Reno Chico State and more. Graduation theme songs are I believe I can fly and Time of your life.

Puzzle People Heart Project Draws Local Students

Colfax High School vice principal Jim Bagley, 59, shifts from guiding youths to facing his own health battle. A routine check revealed a large brain tumor thought to be 10 years old. Initial six week prognosis gave way to operable surgery and 33 days of radiation after further evaluation.

Iowa Hill Celebrate Its Uniqueness Event June 7
Iowa Hill hosts a community celebration June 7 to fund projects. Activities include a skeet shoot with a $100 prize, horseshoe tournament, watermelon-eating contest, children's games, crafts, food booths, a beer booth, raffles, cookbooks, T shirts, an auction at 1 pm, and live music.
