Falcons Open Football Drills In Colfax 2003 Season
Colfax Falcons began 2003 practices under 90 plus degree heat with conditioning first and pads later. Coach Tony Martello noted three days of conditioning, two hours daily per CIF rules, no two daily sessions due to early school start. Scrimmage against Del Oro set for Sept 4 and season opener Sept 12 versus Dimond, Alaska. Senior center Bob Bartlomei injured during drills, awaiting x rays. Martello praised Dimond and outlined aim to synchronize offense and defense while preparing for a wary Lynx wishbone attack.
