Labor Day Classic marks 39th year of Colfax fast pitch tourney
The Colfax Recreation Association hosts a three day Labor Day Classic starting Aug 27 with eight men’s teams and two women’s teams at Living War Memorial Park. The long running event began in 1966 and is believed to be the state’s oldest men’s fast pitch tournament. This year Sonoma’s X-Dragons will not participate for the first time in 25 years. A special women’s game rounds out Saturday is followed by a street dance.
