Calamity Jane’s Confections hosts Colfax’s quirky week
Colfax notes a playful clash of names and new arrivals as Calamity Jane’s Confections hosts a grand opening countdown. Owners Cindy Jacob and Linda Chapman reveal a bidirectional tale from a Philippine ransom incident to a second cow purchase from New York City, while Colfax antiques welcomes Chief Tanonka built from recycled plastic and painted by Sierra College’s Gary Graham. Founders’ Day on September 18 looms as the shop’s debut milestone.
