Fair notes show steady growth and praise for youth stock exhibits
The Clifton show drew praise for 4H and FFA youth stock displays and over $2,000 in prize money. Homer McDougal and Dan Amundson led fair efforts with strong superintendent cooperation. Governor Connally said no special legislative session is needed, avoiding about half a million in costs. The fair decor and updates were discussed as worn flags were replaced next year.
