First Clifton Bottling Plant Recalled by Palmer Olson
Palmer Olson recounts Clifton's early bottling era with notes on G. W. Kruger in a red barn between Stn St and Alpha Road. He recalls washing bottles, old stopper finds, and Mrs Hoff’s memory of the Kruger family, plus details of the Winfield Coca Cola plant and a wooden shed used for storage and a former restaurant. He also mentions a 1900 to 1912 Clifton photo album and a local attic discovery of Clifton’s first band.
