Ottis Tylers Have Guests

Mr and Mrs Frank Tyler and son Brandon of Garland visited Mr and Mrs Ottis Tyler from Friday until Sunday. Guests included Mrs Tylers relatives C L Brockman Fort Worth David Werner and family, Mark Michael and Lynn Werner of Hurst, Jim Brockman and Scott Brockman of Dallas, and Keith Brockman of Fort Worth. They hunted and fished at the Tyler Ranch near Cranfills Gap.

Anz Family Reunion Draws 100 plus in Clifton

Descendants of Edward and Annie Groff Anz gathered at the American Legion Hall in Clifton on Saturday October 6 for a reunion. Over 100 attended. A business meeting set the next gathering for the second Saturday in October next year with Arnold Anz and Mrs. Ada? Anz elected chairs for ’74.

Clifton JVs Edge Robinson In 16-14 Thriller

Clifton junior varsity defeated Robinson 16-14 as passing and defense dominated. Larry Schulze and Charles Raines connected on two TD passes, Clifton’s defense forced key stops, and Day of Robinson returned a kickoff for 85 yards before Clifton sealed the win.

Rev Sally Preaches as Community Mourns Dorman Death

The Fairview community extends sympathy to the family of Fony Dorman of Waxahachie who died Saturday morning from a heart attack. Funeral services were held at 2 pm at Boze and Mitchell Funeral Home in Waxahachie. Dorman was the son of Mrs. E. S. Dorman Sr. and brother of Duggan Dorman. Several local residents shared in Sunday visits and luncheon at the Downey home and other greetings to relatives in the area.

The regular third Sunday singing will be held at the Sunset Home this Sunday from 2 until 4 pm.

Mrs. M. Bronstad Laid To Rest In Dallas

Mrs Morris T Bronstad formerly of Denison died September 25 at Presbyterian Village in Dallas. Her husband formerly of Clifton worked for Townsend owned lumber firm while in town. She had lived at Presbyterian Village with him. She is survived by her husband and a son Dr Morris T Bronstad Jr plus three grandsons Morris T Bronstad III Christopher and David.

Magazine Club Hears Mrs. Dahl in Oct Meeting

The Clifton Magazine Club met on October 2 at 1311 West 3rd St with host Mrs. Joe F. Karl Jr. Members exchanged quotes on senses then heard Mrs. Hans B. Dahl discuss What a Blessing Are Our Senses. The club added books, exchanged items, and served refreshments. Two guests attended, Mrs. Dewey Quarles and former member Mrs. C S Bronstad.

Our Savior's Lutheran Church Service Schedule

The church lists confirmation classes Saturday at 9 am and worship, Sunday school, Luther League, and midweek choir meetings. Faith Lutheran Meridian shows worship at 9 am and Sunday school at 10 am with no choir that week.
