Methodists Announce Mission Emphasis and Service Changes
The First United Methodist Church will feature a 10 45 morning worship with Rev Raymond M Burton of Fort Worth as guest preacher and mission director of the Central Texas Conference. A 5:00 evening vesper service replaces the prior 30 service with focus on biblical study. The MYF meets 3 45 to 6 15 with a revised schedule.

Clifton Cubs Dominate Itasca Wampus Cats 40 to 0 in Homecoming
Clifton High School celebrated its 50th homecoming with a 40 to 0 victory over Itasca the Wampus Cats as the Cubs offense racked up 40-point night for the fifth straight game and the defense pitched its fifth consecutive shutout. Halfback Wayne Prescher scored twice and Garland Braune connected on several big plays while Cub defenders pressured Itasca throughout the game. The win featured multiple interceptions by Billy Helms and a 65-yard return, highlighting a dominant Clifton performance before a packed stadium.

Local Scouts who handed out 500 Goodwill bags in Clifton last Saturday will collect them this Saturday November 9. Residents are asked to leave bags on porches or doors by 10 am and use plain bags if they did not receive one. Cub Scouts Webelos and Boy Scouts led by Joe Brown Claude Richards and Paul Barnett invite Clifton households to fill bags for delivery to Texas distribution centers.
