County totals show 452 farms signing into the 1968 feed grain program diverting 10 097 acres (57.4 percent of base) with payments for larger farms and minimum diversions for small farms. Upland cotton diversion covers 2 342 acres on 256 farms (28.4 percent of 8 240 acres). Wheat signups total 107 farms (21 percent) with 1 844 acres (35.1 percent) of allotments. No diversion payment for wheat.

Hillcrest Grads To Be Honored In May Dinner
District 10 Texas Nurses Association will honor Hillcrest Baptist Hospital School of Nursing graduates with a dinner at Ridgewood Country Club at 7 p.m. May 7. Mrs Al Stolte Jr chairman of the banquet committee announced the event honors a long established district courtesy. A special musical program from the Up With People group and welcoming remarks followed. Individual graduates will be introduced including Barbara Lynn Franklin from Valley Mills and Arnetta Carotetechans from Temple alongside many other graduates from Texas cities and towns.
