Cancer Crusade Sunday Observed Across Texas Churches
Cancer Crusade Sunday on April 2 will be observed in Texas churches as ministers and congregations join in the 1967 campaign against the nation’s second largest killer. The month is Cancer Control Month with 75,000 ACS workers visiting neighborhoods to spread cancer warning signs and support education service and research. Churches will use a special Bulletin folder featuring the Cross and Sword of Hope urging regular exams and a Christian concern for cancer. Recognition of warning signals is key to early diagnosis and treatment. Over 1,400,000 Americans are cured, and Texans are determined to increase that number.
