Murder charge shocks Clifton Valley pair in Lyon case
Paul Schmidt and Dick Schmidt, both of Valley, are accused of killing John Willie Lyon, a Clifton handyman and gravedigger, after Lyon was found wounded by a .22 rifle on the Schmidt brothers’ ranch. Lyon died in hospital following extensive interrogation that included a lie detector and truth serum. the brothers were released without bail pending a grand jury in April.
