Funeral Rites Held for Eddie Finstad in Clifton
Eddie Finstad 79 died March 8 1972 at Clifton Lutheran Sunset Home. Funeral services March 10 at Trinity Lutheran Clifton were led by Rev. Ted Steenblock with a sermon on Jesus Prepares A Place For You In Heaven. Burial followed in Clifton Cemetery. He was born April 13 1892 at Bee Creek and survived by son Edgar and daughter Vernie Mae, with seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Meridian State Park Receives $122000 Development Funding
A $122 000 Meridian State Park project was announced by Jack R Stone chair of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission. Costs are shared with the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation Land and Water Conservation Fund paying half and state funds the other half. Development includes a group camp facility shelter restrooms screened shelters playground trails roads parking and utilities.
