Clifton residents backed Proposition No 2 to build a new sewer plant by 404 to 167, while voting 303 to 268 against a city hall community center complex. A downtown city hall site won with 457 votes to 111, but the bond defeat nullified the referendum. City to switch to garbage sacks for efficiency and potential sack purchase plans follow.

Moody Foundation gifts fund Texas education drive
The Moody Foundation of Galveston granted more than 1.2 million dollars across 16 Texas communities at its first 1972 meeting. A 25 000 dollar gift supported the new Goodall Witcher Hospital in Clifton. Clifton High School Choir Easter Program Planned
The Clifton High School Choir will present its annual Easter program on Sunday March 26 at Bettis Auditorium at 2 30 p m. A third and fourth grade choir of about sixty voices will accompany the high school group.
