Mr and Mrs Herbert Lammert and son Danny Ray of Stamford spent two days in Clifton with Henry Lammert and family. J J Madden of Rio Vista California arrived Sunday night to visit in Clifton with John Rierson family and relatives in Louisiana and Texas for about two weeks. Mr and Mrs Lee Larson visited in Midland from Friday to Sunday with their son-in-law and daughter J Jenson and children Sharon and Stevie, and with A J Armstrong and Kay.

Interim Pastor of Grace Baptist Called for Clifton Church
Members of Grace Memorial Baptist Church in Clifton have called Dr. S. S. Stover to serve as interim pastor until a pastor is obtained. The Stovers have served as Southern Baptist missionaries in Brazil since 1940 and have been in Texas on furlough since last May. They will reside in Waco during Dr. Stover’s interim pastorate.

Friends and relatives gathered in Clifton on Saturday March 9 to attend the funeral for Harry A. Cooper age 74 7 4 of Fort Worth. Among attendees were Mrs Floyd Fox and daughters Winnie Doris and Kathy of Dallas Mrs Walter F Shannon of Beeville Mrs Doris Knauer of Guatemala City Mrs Joe Previne of Sedona Arizona and local Chiles and Townsend families from Fort Worth. The Clifton native died recently.
