Flag Day Observance By Clifton VFW Post
On Monday June 14 the Robert E. Binford Post 8553 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Clifton will furl American Flags citywide to honor Flag Day. The piece recalls June 14 1777 as the flag’s official adoption by congress and honors over 1 060 000 VFW members who have served abroad and the nearly one million who have died for the flag. Clifton citizens are asked to pause and give thanks to God for the United States.

Mrs Bob Terry of Cameron recovering from a broken arm stayed with son-in-law Ilette Watson’s family, planning to return home this week. Summer graduation week brought visitors to the Heath School area including the Dick White home and relatives from Dallas Tyler and Stephenville. Bob Jenkins and children attended the Sheppard Family Reunion at Howard Community near Waxahachie last Sunday.
