Bosque Valley Golf Club hosts strong Ma and Pa tourney
The Bosque Valley Golf Club enjoyed a record setting weekend with 24 teams in the Ma and Pa tournament and a covered dish supper. Cotton Dorman and Sue Gibbons were low gross winners. Bobby Joe and Betty Conrad claimed low nets. All fees and prizes went to the Ladies Golf Association which will meet Tuesdays at 11 am for play after the meeting.

Three Clifton Boys to Attend Camp Hoblitzelle Near Dallas
Three Clifton boys Alan Davidson Otis Walker and Freddie Kubiak have been chosen by the Clifton Salvation Army Service Unit Committee for a free one week vacation at Camp Hoblitzelle near Dallas June 4 11 They will join 900 other Texas youngsters sponsored by Salvation Army units across the state for a four week summer camp The boys will travel by car with all expenses paid at the 370 acre camp which offers redwood and brick cabins balanced meals supervised activities including hiking fishing archery horseback riding swimming crafts movies and sports The Salvation Army runs the camp year round and more than 4000 will vacation there this summer The camp was funded by donations from more than 100 Texans and features a 30 acre lake recreation hall swimming pool a western fort animals and extensive outdoor fields
