GI home loan rate reduction lowers VA and FHA costs
The maximum GI home loan rate drops from 9.0 to 8.75 percent effective January 5, announced by VA regional director Jack Cocker. The cut, the first since March, comes with higher mortgage money supply and is coordinated with HUD. VA guarantees loans for service members and widows, excluding the unhappy topic of a beachhead. A $30,000 GI loan could save about $2,090 over 30 years.
