Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Eckert of Clifton travel to Dallas for Christmas with their children and grandchildren. The group includes Hubert Eckert and Eddie, Douglas Sanders and Becky, and Bob Rawling and Jan. They also plan to visit more relatives and friends. Oscar and Oscar Eckert recently gave Hubert a year’s gift subscription for his birthday.
Mrs. Roland Jones Jr welcomed Clifton residents and guests for the annual Christmas Breakfast at her redecorated home. The event featured interior design touches, a coffee service from a copper Samovar, brass tea ware, festive decorations, a Christmas story by Mrs. Erwin H. Knitt, and a gift wrapping demonstration by Mrs. Jones.
Mrs. J. Bruce Parks called the roll and read the previous minutes which were accepted. A motion carried to use the Christmas contribution to buy a food certificate for a deserving family of Clifton. Mrs. Loyd Swenson checked out library books. Next meeting set for January 3 with Mrs. C Pernell Aars.
