New Legislation Expands Rural Housing Aid in Bosque County
The Farmers Home Administration now can assist low and moderate income Bosque and Somervell County families with housing credit under the Demonstration Cities and Metropolitan Development Act signed by President Johnson. Changes include new construction eligibility, cosigner use, and higher emergency repair funds up to 1500 dollars. Applications are taken at the Bosque County office in Meridian.

Clifton boys and girls captured the championship trophies at the Valley Mills High School Tournament. The boys beat China Spring 55-49 after defeating Turnersville and Valley Mills en route to the final. The Clifton girls defeated Turnersville and Jonesboro to win 40-35 in the championship.
