City Hall Bond Election Backed by Advisory Committee
The Record endorses a second bond vote to fund a new city hall jail community center and public library. It favors building on the former Schow property near the main shopping district to improve parking and spur downtown growth. The paper argues the city can finance the project with trims and that broad support will return in a subsequent election.
