Fire calls and community notes from Laguna Park area
West Shore Volunteer Fire Department answered two calls this week. A turkey-truck trailer fire near Valley Mills destroyed the trailer and killed about a hundred turkeys. A home at King Creek Lodge burned nearly to the ground before help arrived. Residents urged donations to the fire department and warned against road littering and ignoring a Stop Sign at Channel Car Road and FM 3118. Local residents and visitors are mentioned, along with upcoming meetings May 7 and May 14 at Bluebonnet Community Center.
