Mrs. B J Hall of Marion mother of Omer J Hall assistant cashier at Clare County Savings Bank died at her home Saturday morning. She lived in the village about fifty years after moving there as a girl. Survived by husband four sons Jake Ray Glen and Omer J and daughter Misa Jennie. Friends from Clare attended the funeral Monday afternoon.

Clare Resident Eli Ramey Dies After Long Illness
Clare resident Eli Ramey died at his home on West Sixth Street after months of illness at age sixty four. Born January 22 1866 in Canada he moved with his parents to Vernon township and married Mary Bickerton in 1887. Surviving are sons Clarence Phebe Thomas and George, wife Bea, three brothers and a sister. Funeral services were held at the home with Rev H Johnson of Oxford officiating and burial in Cherry Grove cemetery.

She married William F Dodge in 1889 and had four children Ralph Florence Ira and Arleen who died in infancy. Two Hunters Wounded in Accidental Firearm Mishaps
In Harrison, Robert Brown was badly wounded in the knee when a partner showed a new gun and a cartridge discharged. In Surrey township, Herbert Lewandowski was struck by a shot that tore away half of his left arm above the elbow while a gun slipped from a boy’s hand. He was taken to a doctor in Heart. hospital staff expect the arm to be saved but with elbow loss of use.

County Road Commission Reports No Appropriation Needed
In Harrison this week the Clare County Road Commissioners told the Board of Supervisors they will not seek general fund appropriations to maintain the 140 miles of county roads and 123 miles of township roads this winter. They credit funds now available from the weight tax and a state contract profit for maintaining trunk lines under county supervision, with no extra county general funds required.

Amendments to be Voted at General Election 1930
The General November election on Tuesday November 4 1930 will include proposed amendments to the state constitution.
