At Harrison County Fair last month Brown was awarded a trip to the National Dairy Show in St Louis Missouri open to any 4EI Club member. Thirty delegates traveled in fifteen cars with twenty on the judging team. They visited Champlain University of Illinois dairy facilities and the University Dairy Farm then toured East St Louis and the Daily Show Arena complex.

Law violators now residing behind the bars in county jail
Vivan Douglas is spending fifteen days behind bars at the County jail for illegal possession of twenty five muskrat pelts. Justice Callihan imposed a 25 dollar fine and 9.25 dollars costs after visit by Conservation Officers Pettit and Hildebrandt. Ralph Kurzholz was fined 100 dollars and 12 dollars costs or sixty days in jail for killing a deer in Franklin township Clare county. He chose jail and is at Harrison with Sheriff Woods. Conservation officers Pettit and Hildebrandt also made the arrest.

The Hatton township rotary has cleared the gravel rock obstacle and with new bits arriving Thursday drilling will speed up. Farm Home Burns On Dover Road
Fire destroyed the Bart Barrus residence at the bridge on the Dover road Sunday about two o clock. Rural truck from town rushed to the scene but flames had advanced too far to save the house. Barrus was away in Petoskey and returned the next day. Loss only partially insured.
