Double Rites Held For Elmer Lackie
Last rites conducted for Elmer Lackie and his wife Edna Lackie in a double funeral at Thurston Funeral Home following a highway crash on October 11. The Clare area couple, lifelong residents, leave four sons one daughter twenty grandchildren and several siblings and relatives. Reverend Hugh Kennedy officiated. interment in Cherry Grove cemetery.

LaRock said the Traverse City office will staff the Clare visit on the Tuesday after the fourth Monday each month, with 9 a.m. start. Saginaw and Traverse City offices cover related areas, with Saginaw hours at Midland and Mt. Pleasant post offices but Traverse City handling Clare Osceola county residents.
