Lyceum Concert Opens Sophomore Season Wednesday
The first Interstate Lyceum Course of the season by the Sophomore class will be held Wednesday evening, October 19, in the high school auditorium. Cutler Griffin Company presents Everett Custer, Helen Griffin, and Al Pearsall in a varied program from Pinafore to Tosca with solos, duets, readings, and stunts. Tickets are one dollar for all five numbers.

Unusual Sunday School Plan at Clare Methodist
Clare Methodist Sunday School inaugurates an Administrative Council with five elected leaders to run the school in monthly rotations. Members include Mr Holbrook Mrs Garchow Mr Sternaman Mrs Mulder and Mr Gibbs. First council meeting will be followed by a supper at the parsonage Friday evening.
Agricultural Night School to Be Held November First
The Clare agricultural night school opens in the high school auditorium on Tuesday evening November 1. Dairy topics will be studied with a dairy expert from Michigan State College. The session is free to business people, farmers, laborers and the general public, and aims to boost local dairy knowledge.

Increase in Clare County black bears threatens livestock
Reports show rising black bear numbers in Clare County. Fourteen sheep from Fowler ranch near Clare are missing or found as carcasses. Deputy game warden Eugene Pettit saw bear tracks during the search. Bears are protected. the only open season is during deer season, which is closed in Clare County for five years, limiting hunting activity.

Standard High School Ring Adopted By All Classes
At Clare high, the Freshman Sophomore and Junior classes voted for a single standard ring design showing the Clare high school image with the graduation year date to change each year. Attendance leaders include Eighth grade at 99.3 and Kindergarten at 88.2. No school Thursday and Friday due to teachers Institute in Saginaw.
