Six Injured In Accident Near Clare Last Week
Four injured five miles north of Clare on US-27 when a car driven by Arlie Iutzi collided with a county gravel truck. Heads injuries and bruises reported. both Iutzis released after treatment. Damage estimated at 250 for the car and 300 for the truck. A second crash near Clare injured Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Rulapaugh, with Mrs. Rulapaugh having a badly cut leg and both requiring hospital observation and treatment.

Postmaster and Mrs Frank Jackson learn their nephew Neal Mayrand of Ferndale was killed in action in France in September. He served in a Tank Corps with General Patton s Third Army. His brother, also in France, met him in England in July.

Angus John Caul dies in Clare after long illness
Angus John Caul of Clare died at Clare Hospital on Tuesday morning after years of failing health and a paralytic stroke at his West Seventh street home. Born June 20 1878 near Alpena Michigan, he moved to Clare in 1918 and worked as railroad telegrapher and station agent at several points. He married Minnie M. Jones in 1919. she and Chancey Jones of Clare survive. Funeral services were held at the Doherty Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Watson officiating and burial at Cherry Grove cemetery.
