Pioneer resident Katherine McKeever dies at 79 in Clare
Mrs. Katherine McKeever long time Clare resident died October 2 1951 after a long illness at the age of 79. She was born in Adamsville Michigan May 15 1872 and taught in Isabella and Harrison counties. Survived by four sons two daughters five grandchildren two sisters and many friends. Rosary held at Doherty Funeral Home and funeral mass at St Cecilia Church with interment in St Cecilia Cemetery. Out of town relatives attended from Gladwin Coleman Grand Rapids Muskegon Farwell Detroit and more.

Judge Holbrook sentences两 men to state prison
Two felonies pled guilty in the September term of Circuit Court led Judge Donald Holbrook to sentence Richard Winters, a Temple resident, to two and a half to fifteen years for fornication and statutory rape involving a minor girl. Harold Carper, 30, of Gladwin, received two and a half to five years for carrying concealed weapons.
